Freshman Year
During my freshman year, I was able to participant in multiple service opportunities. I was able to do the Day of Service for the first time, I volunteer my time painting the YMCA. This experience truly showed me how much serverant leadership means to the facultys and students at University of Mary. Also through ELA, I was able to lead a group that went to the YMCA and read books and played with the children from various ages. I was also to participant in the school organization of PACS.
Sophomore Year
Sophomore year I was able to again do the Day of service, this time helping at the ARC of Bismarck. I was also able to be apart of a group that went on muplite occasions to the Ronald McDonald house to bake treats such as cookies or cakes, for the families that were staying there. I was also able to go to the humane society and walk dogs around the area.
Junior Year
Junior year was easily my biggest year of professional growth, and I owe a lot of that to the ELA program. We completed five lessons to help identify the type of leaders we are and created personal mission statements to reflect our most important values. I was able to lead the weekly devotional group. In this group, I asked my classmates to sign up for a spot to share a prayer/devotional that they wanted to share with the group. I was also apart of the activities group, this is where we planned group activities for the entire class, where we could get to know each other outside of the classroom. I was also able to be apart of PACS executive board. The best experience by far this year was the time spent with my mentor, Krisann Miller All of the activities I completed with them are detailed on my mentorship page, but I am forever grateful for the opportunities they provided and guided me through.
